Chapter 1: Getting Started
This first chapter in The Bedford Researcher has provided me with a better understanding of how to take on the task of writing such a big paper. Chapter one talk about knowing the research writing process and how to organize the information about your topic, so you can always find those certain quotes and facts that you've previously read. It also gives a very detailed and helpful outline that gives the stages of completing your paper, I personally really need that structure to keep myself from becoming overwhelmed. The first chapter also talks about analyzing your paper by going over the purpose of why your writing. For example, determining what will help myself and my readers, what will affect me while I'm writing this paper. I also really like how this chapter gives different examples of how to brainstorm ideas like free writing, looping, and clustering.
